- Begin by using the upholstery attachment on your vacuum cleaner to remove any loose debris, dust, or crumbs from the chair. Pay attention to the seat, backrest, armrests, and crevices.
- Spot Cleaning: For stains or spills on the chair, create a solution of mild detergent and warm water. Dip a clean, soft cloth into the solution, wring out excess moisture, and gently blot the stained area. Avoid scrubbing vigorously, as it may spread the stain or damage the fabric. Continue blotting until the stain lifts. If the stain persists, you may need to repeat the process or consider using a specialized upholstery cleaner.
- Cleaning the Frame and Base: The frame and base can be cleaned with a mild all-purpose cleaner or a mixture of water and mild detergent. Dampen a cloth with the cleaning solution, wring out excess moisture and gently wipe down the frame, armrests, and base to remove dirt, fingerprints, or smudges. Dry the surfaces with a clean cloth afterward.
- Be careful with drinks, food, or any type of liquids when you are near your chair. Clean it right away in cases of spillage. Attend to stains immediately.
- If you do happen to spill something on your fabric office chair, use a dry cloth immediately to try to absorb as much of the liquid as you can before it sinks into the fabric. Don’t rub, but rather blot with a dry cloth to draw the liquid out.

- Direct sunshine can wreak havoc on your chairs and upholstery. When not in use, store your chair away from direct sunlight to keep it safe from the sun’s intense beams.
